Terra is a companion for mindful wandering. Envisioned by Modem, and developed in collaboration with Panter&Tourron, the pocket-sized compass translates your intentions, available time, and precise location into a tailored trail of GPS coordinates. Leave your phone behind and reconnect with your surroundings.
Terra is open source by design. Inspired by DIY culture, the project requires users to build the device themselves. All components are openly available, including the software, hardware documentation, and the 3D-printable shell files.
— Modem, modemworks.com/projects/terra. Industrial design: Panter&Tourron. Software + hardware: Alice Stewart. Product renders & alt. designs: Côme Lart. GPL-3.0. Modem marks the project experimental.
