TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) spans a wide hardness range, from soft, highly stretchable formulations around Shore A50 to firmer, semi-rigid grades up to Shore D70 that behave more like tough plastics than classic rubber. Across this range, TPU generally offers good abrasion resistance, resists oils, greases, and many common solvents, and retains flexibility in low temperatures where more brittle plastics can fail. Softer grades suit gaskets, seals, and wearable parts that need to stretch and flex repeatedly, while firmer grades suit protective cases, hinges, and components that need only slight give under load.

Shore A91-100 TPU is the firmest range on the Shore A scale, feeling closer to a rigid material with some give than to a genuinely soft or cushioning material.

Medium (Shore A81-A90)
